QUONOCHONTAUG BEACHÂ
CONSERVATION AREA
The Quonochontaug Beach Conservation Area, as the name implies, was created for the purpose of preserving, in as nearly as possible its natural state, one of the very few remaining undeveloped barrier beaches in the State of Rhode Island. Though lands within the Conservation Area are privately held, the owners through their duly appointed agent, the Quonochontaug Beach Conservation Commission (QBCC) seek to encourage enjoyment of the natural beauty, marine resources, and unlimited recreational potentials of the area provided that such use is consistent with the primary purpose of conservation. The following rules and regulations have been promulgated for the entire area.
